We are seeking an Outside Service agent to work with our Golf Course team. If you are motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and you believe in excellence, this is the position for you.

Job Summary:
The Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing and inventory accounting. Support management with requests for financial information and provide timely metrics on ingredient, labor, and overhead costs. Maintain inventory controls.
Job Description:

  • Create processes and analyses to measure the standard cost for menu items including ingredient costs, labor, and overhead. Compare the expected costs to actual costs.
  • Quantify product cost variances by material usage and price variance. Collaborate with Chef to identify root causes and possible actions to bring the product back to standard costs.
  • Establish reporting guidelines regarding product profitability and variances. Create weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Create appropriate methods to estimate preparation and kitchen labor needed to complete a menu item.
  • Participate in new item creation to ensure product profitability standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with company management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of financial analysis.
  • Ensure good inventory controls are maintained including first in and first out.
  • Develop measurements and reporting for spoiled ingredients.
  • Develop standard inventory levels – considering minimum order quantities, price, shelf life, and expected demand.
  • Work with procurement to identify ingredient seasonality and buying potential opportunities. Communicate this information to the Chef, to craft menu specials designed focused on these savings.
  • Lead inventory cycle counts.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to function independently and in a team.
  • Must be self-motivated and member service oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Discretion and confidentiality are required traits for this position.
  • Strong ability to quickly learn and operate club-specific software.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel, Word, and all MS Office suite software.
  • Knowledge of inventory, cost of sales, and cost controls.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures prepared on and generated computer.
  • A team player who is willing to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail. Must possess strong initiative.
  • Leads by example by seizing every opportunity to be responsible for managing workflow.
  • Ability to engage with members, as well as staff, and be empathetic to the needs of both.

Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of accounting with a full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures.
Primary functions and responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and helps monitor member feedback.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be available to work on the holiday and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
