The Creative Project Manager (CPM) will be responsible for cross functional relationship building with stakeholders, clients, and company management but their defining relationship is their work with the internal and external creative and production teams. Managing graphic and visual designers, copywriters, motion designers, creative directors, UX and Tech, social and production teams across several business units within Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
The CPM must fully understand projects that can range from small to large-scale advertisement marketing campaigns and video productions. This role requires a need to foster an environment of inspiration while honoring the creative process and still delivering projects on time. They drive creative projects from start to finish, delivering stellar creative on brand while hitting each milestone on-time and on-budget.
The CPM must fully understand Project Management software and allow for the team to collaborate effortlessly in a remote working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Play a pivotal role in delivering strategic and creative work that drives the business.
- Develop project deliverables, schedules, milestones, and measures of success in coordination with creative team members and internal clients.
- Initiating the plan and brainstorming ideas: de-mystifying the clients brief, understanding requirements, and building the right team to reach the client’s goals. Work with Account Managers and internal clients to gather complete project information and requirements prior to kickoff.
- Work with the Associate and Creative Director to prioritize, scope and assign new project requests and be able to pivot easily when needed.
- Help assign individual responsibilities and enforce accountability of tasks and deadlines. You must be able to understand each creative team members job duties and functionality with capabilities to create the best team dynamic and outputs.
- Monitor and maintain milestone dates and schedules throughout the life cycle of a project. Assist in bringing projects to completion through the execution of the CRM, eComm and Tech teams.
- Evaluate status; anticipate schedule and budget problems; coordinate and communicate adjustments to schedules and budgets as indicated and take action to elevate those problems which cannot be resolved through coordination.
- Identify actual or potential conflicts with outside elements, and resolve such problems, facilitate their resolution, or elevate them for resolution.
- Nurture positive, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues. Champion the work of the Creative Team and help promote a strong reputation for the team throughout the organization.
- Deliver, at a minimum, weekly and monthly reports to clients, the department and management throughout the organization.
- Defining deliverables: making sure that the team knows exactly what the final product is and when to deliver it.
- Reviewing and approving the final project: combining all the deliverables into a final project to be shared with the client; leading the review process for any additional changes or updates; gathering client feedback and sharing that to the team to facilitate improvements.
- Understanding overall assigned creative campaign objectives, campaign targeting and segmentation, and nuances of supporting materials, including differences in segment treatments, branding, contact information, etc.
- Contribute to marketing strategies, testing, and execution of client programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-8+ years of client creative services/account management in video production, design advertising or at a creative/digital marketing agency. Need to have worked in a creative department and managing creative teams to be considered.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies and PMI best practices.
- Experience working in Project Management tools (i.e., Workfront, Monday) as well as data visualization tools.
- Strong project/program management, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt between strategic and tactical thinking and work well within both.
- Effective multi-tasking skills with proven ability to support multiple campaigns/initiatives for multiple stakeholders while effectively managing conflicting priorities.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and effectively problem solve; ability to analyze problems and produce a viable solution.
- Ability to work well in a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent, proven organizational skills, including strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in all facets of Marketing 360 – CRM, e-commerce, digital, social, OOH, print.
- Experience using digital workflows/project management software a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong listening and superior relationship building skills.
