Responsibilities:
Below, we have provided a high level view of what the role entails, with the complete job description discussed in detail during our interviewing process.

  • Performs daily reviews and processing of invoice(s) with outstanding credit balances for patients and insurance companies, to include following up with insurance companies, reconciling accounts, submitting check request(s), forwarding claims requiring appeals to Claims Escalation department, and following up on all credit balances to ensure processing, and refunds have posted and issued.
  • Ensures balancing off batches, and submitting necessary supporting documentation showing completion of credit processing while adhering to corporate standards and procedures.
  • Collaborates with patients, vendors, and internal departments to resolve conflicts on accounts and resolve any outstanding credit balances of unapplied/unidentified payment receipts.
  • Ensures accuracy in Credits processing while adhering to all regulations and adherence to objectives, operating policies and procedures, and strategic action plans for achieving goals.
  • Collaborates with Supervisor of Treasury Management to create new processes and procedures as needed to improve overall process for handling credit balances for patient and insurance companies.
  • Prepares and submits Credit Balance reports to accounts payable for check processing on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
  • Ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Company, of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience Requirements and Preferences::
  • 1 - 3 years Claims Processing (Payment Processing) in a healthcare setting.
