Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (No Weekends and No Holidays)
The Credit Analyst/Billing Specialist role consists of assessing customer accounts by reviewing credit reporting tools, credit application information and established credit history files. Makes decisions on releasing incoming/on hold orders and establishes and maintains appropriate credit limits.
Expectations of the Role:
· Establish credit limits for new and existing customers using recognized tools and guidelines.
· Maintain all credit hold buckets to ensure all customer orders are released in a timely manner.
· Utilize effective contact management skills to guarantee that the appropriate information has been received to decipher further collection review or alternative pay methods.
· Analyze existing customer accounts and revise credit limits by increasing or decreasing established limits.
· Responsible for requiring credit applications on the customer and determining credit limits.
· Update all account information for future use.
· Provide back up to other areas as needed, primarily queue coverage. Assist all departments regarding pending orders.
· Process daily credit reference checks on customers.
· Responsible for all online/portal billing of our customers. This includes uploading invoice copies as well as manually entering full details from invoices.
· Primary resource for the collection representatives when they are researching past due invoices.
· Assist in special projects and department tasks as directed by the Credit Manager.
Skills and Experience we like to see:
- Requires 2-3 years of accounting and/or office experience. Credit/Collections experience a plus.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Credit or billing fields.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. SAP experience helpful.
- Quick learner, confident, be a team player and positively contribute to the Credit Department.
- Capability to daily interact in person and on the phone, exceptional organizational skills and proven analytical and math skills.
