What does a Data Center Critical Facility Manager do at Fiserv?:
You will deliver a critical environment program using a variety of technical and operational support services ensuring a highly reliable data center environment across a multi-site topology. You’ll play a critical role the leadership Team - developing process, creating standardization and driving the team towards continuous improvement across the Data Center facilities architecture. You will ensure the maintenance of data center electrical, mechanical, structural, life-safety and critical back-up systems and system up time is maximized. This role requires an advanced technical knowledge of critical facilities and IT infrastructure; including server hardware, network and telecommunications connectivity.
What you will do:
- Oversee day-to-day data center Critical Facilities Operations, with responsibility for the infrastructure health and resiliency of all Fiserv managed facilities
- Formulate and implement the preventative and predictive maintenance program
- Track and report environmental operational issues with recommendations for improvement
- Develop and manage full life-cycle asset management program
- Ensure 100% uptime of Fiserv Data Center Critical Facilities
- Develop incident response SOP protocol and respond to emergency events during non-business hours as necessary.
What you will need to have:
- 5 - 7 years of multi-site data center critical facility experience with increasing levels of scope and responsibility
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree field or relevant work experience preferred with a focus on mechanical / electrical engineering, technology or business related.
- Strong background with an understanding of the operations of standby generators, UPS modules and system, switchgear and switchgear control systems and both chilled water and DX type cooling.
- Demonstrated experience with successfully managing operational staff and vendors.
What would be great to have:
- Strong background with critical Data Center facilities
- Electrical, mechanical and constriction skills via education or experience as it pertains to a Data Center environment.
- Familiar with CMMS, BMS, SCADA, and Microsoft Office, Team, SharePoint
- Knowledge of specific data center requirements as set forth in the National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association, OSHA and local safety regulations
