HOERBIGER Service Inc. is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Joliet, IL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accurately process inventory duties: physical counts, shelving materials, stocking materials, receiving materials into stock, shipping materials, pulling materials and packaging
  • Answer phones and assist with office management (ordering office supplies, etc)
  • Work inside ERP workflow in support of either branch or direct customer transactions, support preparation of quotations, and entry of customer orders
  • Process Sales, Service and Production orders in an ERP-system, with competence and efficiency
  • Compile, sort, verify and process invoices. Coordinate all AR and AP problems with FICO
  • Monitor and proactively follow up on open Sales/Service/Production/Purchase Orders on a daily basis and work in close alignment with Supply Chain functions in order to ensure high process effectiveness, efficiencies and customer requirements are met
  • Coordinate with internal customers such as: shop operations, engineering, sales, etc to develop quotations, orders, and capacity scheduling
  • Report safety issues to management and follow safety procedures
  • Follow documentation and quality procedures and report discrepancies to management

What you should bring with you


Technical or Functional Knowledge

  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Good understanding of sales order/supply chain processes
  • Experience with SAP system
  • Strong technical background and willingness to learn the application of HOERBIGER products and services.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, hear, speak, view processes and surrounding environment, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
