Customer Support Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Customer Support Specialist collaborates with, and supports Inside and Outside Sales Executives to ensure that all sales and customer support activities are handled proactively and efficiently, with a focus on customer satisfaction. The Customer Support Specialist completes all customer quotation requests and coordinates the tariff maintenance for all accepted quotes and rates issued to customers. The Customer Support Specialist enters all necessary data into internal systems.

In this role, the Customer Support Specialist plays an important part in achieving our “Happy Customer” value through a dedicated focus on meeting customer needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Communicate effectively with the Sales Executive to meet customer requirements, resolve customer problems or complaints expeditiously, and complete quotation requests timely.
  • Working with the Sales Executive, ensure all business potential is properly qualified; seek appropriate approval from management if required before offering the rate level to customers.
  • Complete customer quotation requests.
  • Rate quote follow up
  • Complete CCP (routing order) for import bookings secured.
  • Coordinate destination FOB booking to include: follow-up after CCP is sent to obtain booking confirmation; cargo receipt (to confirm once arrived at the origin CFS); confirmed on board status; obtain documents from origin office (HBL, invoice, commercial paperwork, etc.).
  • Support customers by resolving of questions, problems or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage tariff maintenance, ensuring all accepted quotes/rates are loaded correctly in the system to ensure that correct rates are applied at the time of invoicing.
  • Distribute marketing updates to local customer base.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school or equivalent education; associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of sales support and/ or customer service experience; logistics experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills (English required); excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
