SUMMARY

The Cyber Planner is responsible to support government team leads to develop, review, or update plans for cybersecurity information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, budget, schedules, deliverables, funding, and staffing. The Cyber Planner shall work with project personnel to identify and resolve problems and monitor project milestones and deliverables.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with system owners, product managers or developers who are responsible for cybersecurity testing and requirements. Analyze variances between estimated cost quotes and actual cost to effectively evaluate the adequacy and accuracy of information technology assessments. Ability to estimate realistic, accurate, and achievable project costs, personnel needs, and use of that information to prepare competitive proposal packages to be provided to the customer.
  • Experience in utilizing project management software, Microsoft office tools, and other technologies that can help accomplish the mission requirements. This position provides internal oversight, leadership, accountability and project planning functions for large strategic projects and programs with high visibility. These projects and programs require a fully dedicated and very organized project planner due to the level of complexity, degree of intricate detail, and accountability to executive leadership. This individual is responsible for the following: coordinates, develops, and evaluates programs for CCDC DAC; internally recommends cybersecurity solutions and personnel to fulfill customers' requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor?s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master?s degree and 5 years of general experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the Cybersecurity field.
  • Active Secret Clearance (U.S. Govt requirement)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizens
  • Focus on Microsoft office tools with expertise in MS Excel

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the outdoor field duties of this job, the employee will also be exposed to outside weather conditions and other conditions such as loud noises, fumes, odors, dust, etc. This position may require travel.
