Data Destruction Technician/Hardware Tester

Overview:

We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and career-oriented person to join our team full time in the very important Data Destruction Technician/Hardware Testing role. This position requires basic knowledge of PCs & Laptops and their internal components. Ability to troubleshoot boot sequence issues and experience building PCs is a plus. We are seeking someone who is not afraid to work hard and has the ability to learn and follow company procedures and industry standards to ensure compliance and security. Ideally someone who will seize the opportunity to learn our business and grow with us. Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1) Individual is responsible for removing, testing, and wiping hard drives.

2) Learning and working with industry leading software programs.

3) Testing and grading basic computer hardware such as PCs, Laptops, LCD Monitors, Printers, Tablets, and entering details into excel spreadsheets.

4) Organizing and wrapping good equipment for resale on pallets for storage or transport.

Requirements:

1) High school diploma required, some college classes or degree preferred

2) Knowledge of PC and Laptop components and the different types of data media preferred.

3) Basic computer skills necessary and experience with Microsoft Office/Excel preferred

4) Ability to follow procedures and adhere to industry standards in order to maintain compliance is required.

5) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively and work efficiently

6) Professional demeanor, that enjoys working in a fast paced, but casual/fun business environment

7) Strong attention to detail is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
