Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

1. Summary Description

Why does the job/role exist?

This position is responsible for data entry & file opening for customs entries to U.S. Customs. The person works to make sure we have received all the needed documents from origin. They open a Carmichael file in the operating system and key data from the documents into the operating system.

2. Key Result Areas

Keys Results (KPI’s)

• Documents received complete
• File opened in the operating system
• Data keyed into the system

Result Measurement (Metric)

• 100% accuracy
• Based on volume goal
• 100% accuracy

3. Key Accountability/Job Duties

• 25% - Read emails and receive/review documents
• 25% - Open files in the operating system
• 25% - Key data into the system
• 25% - Coordinate and communicate with other team members

4. Job Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Graduate or GED
• Experience: None needed, but industry or related experience preferred
• Skill Sets: Attention to detail, speed, teamwork, coping, problem solving, commitment to task
• Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English
