The Center has revenues of approximately $9 million, with contracts from the Department of Behavioral Health, three Managed Medicaid Organizations, and grants from various foundations.

McClendon Center is a respected and highly rated agency in the District of Columbia. The Center is also the only independent mental health agency in the District to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.


Job Description


A Data Entry Specialist works under the supervision of the Chief Quality Officer and with close co-operation of Information Technology Department, Finance and Clinical Programs. Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering client/operational/quality data into electronic reporting and storage systems, updating existing entries, and organizing hard copies of information appropriately. Data Entry Specialist collects and enters data of organizational satisfaction surveys such as Mental Health Statistics Improvement Program (MHSIP), Georgia Developmental Disabilities Satisfaction Survey (GADDSS), and other surveys completed by person served, stakeholder or staff.


Qualifications


Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Batchelor’s degree on Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar degree in health care related field At least 1 year of experience working as a data entry specialist is preferred Previous knowledge of data management is preferred Experience working with a variety of databases is preferred

Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Sit, walk, and stand, may spend up to twenty-five percent of working time standing/walking. Lift, carry, push, pull generally, not more than 20 pounds. Bend, stoop, and kneel; occasional bending and kneeling may be required in troubleshooting equipment. Manual dexterity/wrist and hand repetitions: good manual and finger dexterity is needed; up to fifty percent of working time may be spent using a computer keyboard. Vision, hearing, speaking, must have good visual acuity and depth perception to operate the computer system; speaking and hearing are essential to the communication needs of the position. Environmental Conditions: Work is performed in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled, and humidity-controlled environment. May be requested on occasion to travel to trainings, conferences, and meetings as an organization representative. May be requested to travel within the sites within the organization. Ability to perform remote work from home office.
