MCA is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Data Governance. He/she will facilitate the adherence to data governance standards enabled and enforced by MCA and MUFG CDO teams.

Job Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst Data Governance should be a dynamic, self-motivated, inquisitive and experienced business analyst versed in financial services processes and systems in order to provide business analysis specific to data into both projects and BAU efforts within MCA in collaboration with executive sponsors and project teams.

The scope of responsibilities will include:
Implementing and maintaining data standards, data dictionaries data management policies, and procedure documents as needed

Ensuring data is classified appropriately and protected according to its level of sensitivity

Evaluating how data is consumed by the organization, ensure correct usage and quality of data

Validating that data is acquired, stored, protected and transmitted appropriately

Ensuring that data controls are implemented and monitored. Review effectiveness of controls

Ensuring all business and technical teams are adhering to the Data Governance processes and procedures

Reviewing procedures (via RCSAs) to understand the impact of data with regard to business processes and regulatory compliance. Work closely with the Business Unit Risk Manager (BURM), Business Unit Risk and Compliance Manager (BURCO).

Working with data owners and business SMEs to define and clarify Key Data Elements (KDEs) and data quality controls for key business applications

Serving as an internal data expert for key tier 1 reports, data definitions, data quality, and data lineage

Defining and documenting data quality requirements for KDEs so that data is complete and accurate

Building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and high quality data

Partnering with IT to review and validate data lineage

Profiling and analyzing data to develop insights regarding new data elements for BAU and projects along with data quality, protection, data loss prevention, and endpoint security.

Managing data incidents and problems while working with data and business process owners on resolving data issues

Communicating the importance of managing data as an asset in all aspects of the role
