Bland Ministry Center and Bland County Medical Clinic are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to work in our Bland location. This position may involve providing coverage and support at other office location (offices 15 minutes apart).

The ideal candidate’s skills would include:

• At least 6 months dental assisting experience and hold x-ray certification.
• Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist dentist competently in all procedures.
• Excel in customer service aspects, greeting the patient when they enter, as well as answering patient questions, providing educational or post-procedure information to patients, and escorting patients to the front desk upon procedure completion for check-out.
• Be able to perform basic lab procedures and prepare cases for external labs.
• Practice safety and organization in sterilization of equipment and room turnover between patients.
• Interact with doctor and hygienist to provide educational materials to patients based on the procedures that have been performed by the doctor and hygienist.
• Understanding of electronic records, specifically Eaglesoft, to chart entries, schedule patients, and assist at the front desk.
• Show a desire to learn additional skills.
