Dental Assistant
SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the dentist; performs work in assisting the dentist in performing dentistry.

SCHEDULE: Dental Assistants will work four (4) nine-hour work days Monday – Thursday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scan paper referrals, attach x-rays and email to the appropriate office. complete the online referral for the specialist via their online portal referral system. The referral clerk would also answer phone notes, complete denture prior authorizations and also contact prior dental insurances regarding patient out of pocket expenses.

Handle dental instruments and materials carefully and dexterously.

Maintains operatories in a sterile condition.

Cleans dental instruments and operatories.

Maintains supplies and keeps inventory from being depleted.

Controls patient flow and attempts to ease patients with conversation.

Takes updated medical histories.
