Job description
We are looking for a Dentistry Assistant with a strong work ethic to support our team in our dental office. The Assistant will be responsible for maintaining inventory, making sure that all necessary tools are available for the dentist and assisting patients by taking x-rays, preparing instruments and cleaning teeth.
Responsibilities:
- Take accurate x-rays of patients' teeth.
- Create and modify dental prostheses based on patients' needs.
- Take measurements of patients' teeth and make impressions of them.
- Soften or harden dental materials with a special light when necessary.
- Be attentive to the patient's needs and concerns.
- Aid the dentist in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Be alert to pain and discomfort exhibited by patients, recognize it, and notify the dentist if something is wrong.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Valencia, CA 91355: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant (Preferred)
- Nitrous Oxide Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
