NARA invites you to apply for our Dental Scheduler opening. NARA is a non-profit agency committed to serving the Native American/Native Alaskan community.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Provides reception for the dental clinic by courteously meeting and greeting individuals presenting themselves to the dental clinic. Answers phone in a timely courteous manner.
• Schedules all dental appointments using Dentrix software
• Cross-check information in the Centricity and/or RPMS programs
• Obtains basic patient information pertinent to dental care and treatment
• Records patient information regarding broken appointments, cancellations, maintains short call list of patients, maintains patient confirmation calls
• Ensures patient eligibility for services
• Provides secretarial/clerical support to dental staff
• Willing to learn - sterilization of instruments, in times of critical need
• Willing to learn to set-up and take-down patient rooms for treatment, in times of critical need

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two to three years’ experience as a medical/dental office scheduler.
• Experience scheduling high volume of appointment on a daily basis.
• Experience with scheduling software.
• Medical terminology
• Previous medical insurance knowledge
• Knowledge of Native American culture preferred
• Prefer knowledge of RPMS and/or Dentrix
