Job Overview:
The Desktop Technician is responsible for performing a variety of computer systems administration and support tasks with minimal supervision. Analyzes, constructs, documents, tests, maintains, troubleshoots and supports PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals and devices for the entire organization. Assists with all end user related issue resolution as needed or requested by the CIO.

Analyzes, constructs, documents, tests, maintains, troubleshoots and supports PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals and devices for the entire organization. Assists with all end user related issue resolution as needed or requested by the CIO.
Primary Scope of Responsibilities:
- Administers incoming Service Desk calls and delegates tickets, as appropriate.
- Resolves desktop support issues for PCs, phones, printers, software and peripherals in a timely manner.
- Installs new PCs, phones, printers, and other peripherals as required.
- Works with IT product vendors to select and price appropriate hardware and software as needed.
- Maintains hardware inventory using AVH's asset management tool and manages correct disposal of decommissioned hardware.
- Creates timely documentation for ongoing support, business continuity and training.
- Other duties as assigned by the CIO.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Ability to concentrate and show attention to detail.
- Relatively high degree of analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to travel to travel to offsite offices and campuses, as needed, to provide support.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- 3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- ITIL training required; certification preferred.
- Security+ training required; certification preferred.
