Kyrish Truck Centers of Austin is looking to grow with qualified and motivated Diesel Technicians. Currently, Kyrish Truck Centers is the 3rd largest International Truck dealership group in the United States.

This position is required to troubleshoot and repair all aspects of Navistar and Hino vehicles. Diesel Technicians are highly respected technical experts in their field. They inspect, repair, and maintain the tough diesel engines and computerized management systems found in large trucks, construction equipment, dump trucks and more. Diesel technicians work independently to solve problems using professional judgment and take responsibility for the safe operation of the equipment that they repair and maintain.

Responsibilities:

• Repair Cummins as the main engine platform in our trucks (B6.7, L9 nd X15) Navistar has the A26 Big Bore Engine as well as the Gas and Propane 8.5Liter in the school bus. HVAC, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, and other components.
• Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary
• Computer-based diagnostics; interface with modern bus programs
• Identify warrantable International bus and truck repairs and document on repair order
• Perform preventative maintenance on busses as required
• Other duties assigned by supervisor
