Dietary Aide/Server

We are looking for a PART TIME Dietary Aide to serve meals and clean the dining room from 6:30am-2:00pm or 3:30pm-6:30pm. Every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

Good communication skills, flexibility, customer service skills, and a team player a must!

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Prepares for meals by setting tables with table cloths or place mats, flatware and napkins.
• Distributes and serves beverages; fills and distributes water glasses.
• Serves meals to residents. Delivers room trays, as needed.
• Prepares cart for dirty dishes. Picks up dirty dishes, cleans tables.
• Washes dishes and replenishes dish storage cabinets.
• Replenishes cereals, crackers, condiments, etc. as needed. May restock and clean Ice Cream Shop.
• Cleans kitchen area by sweeping floor, wiping counters, etc.
• Cleans and vacuums dining room floors.
• Performs cleaning duties according to schedule. Records cleaning duties as they are completed.
• Disposes of trash from kitchen.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to read names, menu choices, work instructions at a level typically acquired through completion of an eighth grade education.
• Knowledge of procedures for serving food, preparing dining room, filling containers, etc. as typically acquired through three-five shifts of orientation.
• Analytical skills necessary to determine best way to address residents who are upset in dining room.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to follow directions provided by supervisor, visit with residents.
• Walking and standing for up to 100% of work time when serving food, preparing dining room, cleaning dishes, etc. Lifting up to 20 pounds for up to 35% of work time when transporting meal trays.
