Summary:
Seeking a Digital Retoucher to work closely and take direction from the Creative Directors, Marketing, and Photography Department to realize photographic objectives through digital retouching and compositing.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and organize retouching of images that include advertising, e-commerce, and corporate high-end photography retouching
- Color corrections and color changes
- Fabric textures and patterns expertise a must
- Garment wrinkle removal
- Skin and beauty retouching
- Masking and path creation
- The ability to seamlessly create and produce complex compositing of two or more images into one background or different environments is required.
- Efficient turnaround of high volume count of imagery on a daily basis.
- Ability to process raw images and reformat files to multiple dimensions and file naming conventions.
- Delivery of files will include: server transfer, internal/external FTP or cloud-based upload, and internal delivery sites
- Communicate with Photography and Creative Departments to obtain any proofs and retouching information necessary to keep workflow moving.
- Ensure visual consistency of product images within projects, and across brands.
- Must have keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ensure follow-up on projects with team members from each department.
Requirements:
- College degree in Fine Arts with four years of working experience or 5+ working years of fashion industry retouching experience.
- Photography background preferred.
- Knowledge of color profiles, proofing, channels, and conversions on both RGB and CMYK color spaces is a must.
- Experience in high-end fashion and product retouching for web and final print reproduction.
- Ability to handle high volume count of imagery on a daily basis.
- Advanced Photoshop skills with the main focus on fabric retouching, color correcting, and skin.
- Working knowledge of all RAW formats, PSD, TIFF, JPEG, and Vector EPS file formats.
- Four years of advanced MAC computer skills.
- Capture One Pro software
- Experience working within a server-based environment
- Must be able to manage multiple projects efficiently and independently; demonstrate excellent communication and organization skills; self-prioritize in a fast-paced environment; and work best under tight deadlines.
- Must be willing to take a retouching test.
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work with all levels of management
