Personnel Resources an immediate opening for a Freight Broker. The freight broker is responsible for calling clients and booking loads for freight shipments. This will be a Direct Hire role in Ashford, AL.

Freight Broker Job Description:

• The freight broker is a liaison between customers and trucks
• A commission will be paid based on profit from loads booked.
• Generating leads, attracting new prospects, and developing a sales pipeline.
• Identifying and selecting reputable and safe carriers for freight services.
• Providing customers with shipping quotes.
• Booking orders with carriers.

Freight Broker Job Requirements and Skills Set:

• Trucking and/or sales experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced enviroment
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and display ethical behavior in all business dealings; ability to be trusted by peers, clients and others; puts honestly and integrity above self.
• Must be organized and detail oriented

Education Requirements:

High School diploma, some college preferred

Work Schedule:

Workdays: Monday- friday

Work Hours: day time schedule

Pay Rate:

$40,000+ Commission

Benefits: Medical, Dental, vision, 401k, PTO and Holiday pay.
