Starting Pay is $16.00 Hourly

Direct Support Professional Live-In Position: Work 7 days ON/Then OFF 7 day HOLT

This position performs a variety of duties aimed at assisting IDD residents, without being intrusive, in accomplishing daily living activities and achieving personal goals as outlined on the Plan of Care, which furthers their growth towards independence. This is a direct care position, working with residents with developmental disabilities or intellectual challenges.

The DSP works to:

1. Supervise program participants, instruct, train, educate and assist in developing skills necessary for the achievement of educational, vocational, recreational, leisure, artistic, religious and financial goals.

2. Review, understand and provide input into the development of Person Centered Plan and provide written documentation of program participant’s attempts, successes, goals and outcomes.

3. Supervise and assist with daily living skills including meal preparation, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, etc.

4. Track residents funds and spending as directed.

5. Assist program participants, including those with disabilities, in boarding and un-boarding van/vehicle when assigned; move participants in wheel chairs operate wheel chair lift and follow van loading and unloading procedures.

6. Administer medication or supervise participants that self-administer medications, including proper storage and documentation of medications immediately after administered and notify manager if any medication or medical concerns are observed.

7. Performs duties required to maintain participants in a safe, hygienic and supportive environment and all other duties as requested by manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.99 - $16.00 per hour
