Our Marketing team is looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to join its DTLA-based group. As the Director of Brand Marketing you will take the lead on building our brand equity through the development of locally & globally relevant campaigns that will help us win the hearts and minds of consumers. You will lead the team in building programming to elevate our brand and ensure that we are on cutting edge of creativity and cultural trends. Moreover, you will use insights & tools to enable gold standard execution & drive brand love.
To be considered, you should exhibit a successful history of building brands, using data to inform and support your decisions, and a willingness to be hands-on with execution. You should also be a people-first leader who is a big thinker, obsessed with continually elevating the brand, delivering consistent story telling, and most importantly making a lasting impact across the marketplace.

What You Will Do
- Develop new strategies and opportunities for our brand consistent with our brand positioning and equity enabling us to grow our brand, fandom and engagement.
- Drive brand love and relevance through development of local and global campaigns.
- Develop robust marketing plans & breakthrough communication crafted to grow our brand, fan base and revenue (including: jersey launches, season campaigns, merchandise, multicultural and youth marketing programming, etc)
- Lead the development of our multicultural and youth marketing strategy and execution plans.
- Build our sustainability agenda and develop marketing plans that will drive relevance & positive sentiment with our fans.
- Conceptualize, build and launch our merchandising assortment across retail & e-commerce channels.
- Bring creative and pioneering ideas forward, and build capability and strategic partnerships that will benefit the organization long-term.
- Effectively wire and collaborate across the organization to develop revenue opportunities supporting ticket sales, season ticket memberships, and retention programs.
- Lead, empower, coach and develop the brand marketing team
- Develop holistic learning agenda to gain a deeper understanding of our brand and fans locally and globally
- Proactively monitor performance to proactively identify course corrections and/or new opportunities
- Effectively manage A&M budget and demonstrate strong agency leadership
Your Background, Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate/graduate business or marketing degree
- 10+ years Marketing experience (previous sports marketing experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to win through superior consumer marketing
- Significant advertising development experience required
- 5+ yrs of demonstrated people leadership, coaching and developing world class talent
- Demonstrated history of delivering results & ability to make strategic choices to maximize impact
- Proven ability to uncover premier insights/foresights informed equally by robust data analytics and marketplace “curiosity”
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects at different stages of development
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
- Exceptional communication, prioritization and time management skills
- Breakthrough thinker with a strong pulse on culture and emerging trends
- Strong execution, communication and critical thinking skills, business savvy and an opportunity seeker
- Proven ability to lead agency relationships to achieve gold standard results
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key partners and influence at all levels
- Ability to anticipate issues and resolve them based on sound business judgment
- Background in merchandising (assortment creation, new product creation and data driven analytics) an asset
- Bilingual in English and Spanish an asset
