Blake is seeking a hands-on operations leader to serve as its Director of Buildings and Grounds. The director will bring a balance of strong facilities/operations expertise, a focus on processes and exceptional people skills to lead a high performing team and deliver excellent results. They will lead with organizational awareness, strong business acumen, and a willingness to connect and collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents. A champion of Blake, the Director of Buildings and Grounds will use a people-centered approach to deliver best-in-class performance in facilities management in support of Blake’s mission, values, and its commitment to pluralism. The Director of Buildings and Grounds oversees the operations of the school’s buildings, grounds and athletic facilities and leads a talented team of 17 people, including maintenance staff, engineers, project managers, grounds keepers and ice rink managers. The director owns key vendor relationships, including construction companies, architects, contractors and housekeeping. The Director of Buildings and Grounds reports directly to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and works closely with senior across the institution.
