Casa Dorinda, an ultra luxury retirement living community located in Santa Barbara, California, seeks an experienced Director of Life Enrichment to oversee the Life Enrichment program for all levels of care, which are designed to make resident life more meaningful, stimulate and support physical and mental capabilities to the fullest, and to enable Independent, Assisted, Special Care and Medical Center residents to maintain the highest attainable social, physical and emotional functioning. Oversee both the Assisted Living and Medical Center Life Enrichment Staff, to be sure tasks are taken care of where appropriate in each department.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: Associates Degree

2. Minimum Experience required: 2 years’ experience with an elderly population, and/or in social or recreational program within the past five years, one year of which was full-time in a health-care setting; or experience as an occupational, art, music, dance or recreational therapist; or have satisfactorily completed 36 hours of training approved by the Department of Health Services for an Director of Life Enrichment

3. Skills Required: Able to speak, read and write English and possess effective verbal and written communications skills; aptitude for detail and ability to follow instructions; experience with crafts and other arts; Computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
