Governor’s Bend is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, healthcare leader to serve as Director of Nursing for one of the best Assisted Living communities in East Tennessee. This critical leader will champion resident rights, and ensure that the medical, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of residents are being met.

• Recruit, hire, evaluate, counsel, and supervise direct care staff.
• Organize and oversee continuing education, and training of nurses/caregivers
• Complete Nursing Assessments for new and existing residents.
• Establish and maintain quality care systems to ensure all residents receive care as outlined on individual resident care plans.
• Oversee establishment of new residents’ care plans and physician orders and conduct plan reviews with families on a regular basis
• Monitor and audit MAR and EHR and establishes department process for the timely and accurate tracking of resident data
• Monitor shift change notes, communication logs, pharmacy reports, incident reports, physician orders, etc., and escalates appropriately
• Coordinate services with home health, hospice, and other agencies.
• Serves as a facilitator and resources for quality improvement and research activities.
• Demonstrates a high level of productivity and dependability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid LPN, LVN, or RN license
• Proven leadership skills to include building, training, and retaining quality teams
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Successful survey/inspection history

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• LPN or RN license (Required)
