About the Role
The Director, Clinical Contract Management will be responsible for the end-to-end clinician contract management including contract development /review, determination of employment terms of proposed agreements, strategic positioning, and negotiating financial and other agreement terms in close collaboration with the Clinical Recruitment and Operations teams.
This position is accountable for overseeing the execution of contracts, related recordkeeping and reporting while developing and maintaining strong relationships with CP clinicians across all licensures in the recruiting, onboarding and negotiation processes.
Responsibilities
- In partnership with Legal and the Chief Medical Office, finalize the go forward parameters of CPs clinical contracts for all licensures – including guardrails and escalation paths for exceptions
- Partner closely with Business Development team on all initial clinical contracts for acquired groups – codeveloping SLAs to ensure timely and responsive support
- Interface with clinicians on legacy contracts/ compensation plans, and lead the contract renewal negotiation process – moving these clinicians toward the new compensation model for their licensure
- Work with the M&A / Due Diligence team to review all clinical contracts and formulate related deal terms and migration negotiation strategies for M&A and acquihire deals
- Partner with Finance and external consulting firm on the finalization and maintenance of all clinical compensation models
- Field and manage questions on payer contract terms as they directly impact legacy clinician contracts, coordinating with the payer team as needed to respond to clinician inquiries
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant of relevant contract management experience
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams including senior executives and an understanding of enterprise decision-making
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Effective in influencing and making high quality decisions and taking decisive action
- Ability to set and work to deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Demonstrates excellent judgment, professional demeanor, business acumen and executive presence
- Excellent contract negotiation skills, facilitation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, persuasion and analytical skills
