This role is a hybrid position at either our Cary, NC North American headquarters or at our Pasadena, Texas manufacturing facility, with our preference for this role to be in Cary.

Purpose/Position Summary:

This position, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and Operations, will lead the North America Supply Chain Planning for SBM. The role is instrumental in leading and delivering a supply and demand team that delivers best-in-class customer service levels while driving strong, cost-effective production and inventory management processes. The role requires a keen interest in planning operations, forecasting demand, manufacturing processes, supply chain optimization, risk mitigation, and collaboration across the Company and with external supply chain partners.

Success in the role is measured by defining, driving, and implementing key initiatives and KPIs to enhance and achieve aggressive goals relative to best-in-class planning performance metrics, customer satisfaction, executing initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally and externally, facilitation S&OP, and delivering a level of service that exceeds all internal and external customers’ expectations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement the overall supply chain planning strategy including forecasting customer demand and aligning manufacturing with replenishment required to support the customer demand.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to forecast customer Demand Plan and develop a replenishment plan.
  • Lead S&OP processes for SBM North America.
  • Determine key Planning, inventory management, and Forecasting KPIs, track KPI progress, and report KPI results.
  • Lead Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirements Planning for SBM manufacturing facilities, ensuring achievable output vs. plan, and reporting variances.
  • Manage Co-manufacturing production activities, schedules, challenges, and improvements. Partner with Engineering and Sourcing to implement an efficient product supply replenishment strategy.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Work with finance, sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead a team that collaborates cross functionally with the Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance to ensure consistent development and alignment in improving customer service level, optimizing cost, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments attained through streamlined processes, internal & external collaboration, inventory levels, and developing a high performing team.
  • Perform KPI metrics reporting and data analysis on quality, inventory, stock levels, delivery times, and efficiency to identify issues and opportunities for documented process improvements.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and execution of project plans in support of commercial initiatives.
  • Present to leadership and influence decision making performance improvement opportunities and initiatives to resolve/remove obstacles.

Required Skills:

  • BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar relevant field
  • 7 years of previous experience in a supply chain capacity
  • 3+ years of supply chain management experience managing people
  • Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as Sage X3, SAP, Microsoft Nav Dynamics, etc.)
  • Excellent Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and possible overnights may be expected.
