P*osition Title: Dishwasher*

Reports To: Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef

G*e*neral Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of maintaining maximum levels of cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of the back of house on a daily basis.

S*pecific Duties: *

80% Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment.

Report any/all equipment failures or safety hazards.

Handling all equipment in a professional manner, minimizing excessive wear and damage as well as the overall cleanness of all food preparation areas.

Observe safe food handling techniques and sanitary cleaning standards.

20% Responsible for the cleanliness, safety and sanitation of the area designated as work space for Team Members.

Miscellaneous duties as assigned, including any other reasonable request by a chef.

S*pecific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: *

  • Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.

  • Math Skills:

Ability to apply basic concepts of math.

  • Computer Skills:

N/A

  • Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written, oral or diagram instructions

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Additional Physical Demands:

The individual may be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands or arms for up to 1/3 of the work day.

Individual may be required to walk for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day and stand, talk, hear, use hands to handle or feel, taste or smell for 2/3 or more of the day.

Individual may be required to lift as much as 50 pounds for up to 1/3 of the day and as little as 10 pounds for 2/3 or more of the day.

Experience:

Zero to three months related experience and/or training. Familiarity with special terminology such as culinary terms.

Ability to operate specific equipment or tools as required by area(s) of responsibility.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.90 per hour
