Job description

Provides assistance in dining service functions and housekeeping functions as directed or instructed by the team, in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

• Assist in serving meals on a timely basis that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature.
• Assist in maintaining all work and storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times. Move stock and equipment as necessary to complete daily cleaning duties as assigned. Sign off cleaning schedule.
• Follow all safety regulations at all times.
• Sweep and mop floors daily as directed.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses using dishwashers.
• Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Assemble necessary cleaning supplies and equipment on housekeeping cart for transportation to designate area. Replenish as needed
• Gather and dispose of trash. Wash wastebaskets and large refuse containers, reline with plastic liners
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, lamps, window ledges. Use furniture polish when necessary. Move furniture as necessary to clean
• Vacuum and wet mop floors. Polish floors using buffing machine and polish. Strip off old wax from floors and apply new wax as assigned
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, stairwells and hallways as necessary
• Clean bathroom sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, walls and floors. Replace toilet tissue, paper towels and liquid soap
• Clean & polish metal fixtures. Replace light bulbs as needed
• Disinfect areas by scrubbing and spraying

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
