Come join our St Vincent de Paul team! We're hiring motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals for Full-time Donation Attendant positions at our East side location on Weise St.. The ideal candidate has previous experience loading/unloading trucks, accepting donations and using a pallet jack to move merchandise. This is a fast paced, physical job. The ideal candidate will also assist with sorting, pricing & tagging merchandise. We will train an eager candidate if he or she is self-motivated, is a team-player and is able to adjust daily work duties to accommodate the needs of the business. You could be exposed to the elements and in hot weather to cold weather conditions. Forklift experience is a plus. This position will be scheduled 40 hours weekly. Hours are Mon - Fri 10:00a - 6:00p

Minimum qualifications are:

High School diploma or equivalent

Good oral and written communication skills is a MUST

Must have access to reliable transportation

Ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations

Ability to multitask and complete tasks within time frame

Receptive to feedback and ability to modify as necessary

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Must be able to stand and walk continuously; push/pull, bend at waist, reach above head and grasp frequently, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally. This position requires working outside in rain, snow and heat.

Key responsibilities:

Providing good customer service while accepting donations

Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks

Maintaining the cleanliness, safety and organization of the dock/donation area

Using a pallet jack to move merchandise from dock to processing to warehouse to store

Sorting and preparing donated merchandise for immediate pricing, wrapping or salvage

Ensuring that the dock area is locked/secured when store closes

Tagging and pricing items as directed

Cleaning areas of store and maintain a safe working area

Other duties as assigned
