DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Receive daily direction from Employment & Day Services Manager.
2. Truck driving and/or other needed driving services. Follow pickup and delivery schedules. 3.
All loading and unloading of the truck. 4. Accurate data and record keeping. (Time cards, drivers log, trip sheets, pick up and delivery receipts, customer delivery tickets, etc.) 5.
Represent Hope Haven properly to businesses, customers, vendors, distributors and all other contacts. 6. Perform routine maintenance checks each trip. (oil, fuel, water levels, tires, etc.) 7.
Assist on production floor when needed. 8. Adhere to Hope Haven Policies and Procedures. 9.
Safe and prudent vehicle operating record. Follows all safety procedures, promotes personal safety and safety measures among team and clients. 10. Provide client supervision and training as determined by client program plans.
Provide input and close communication with Employment Support Team regarding client concerns, needs, safety and daily performance. 11. Regular and reliable attendance is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.
Requires physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 2. Requires physical ability to walk, stand, sit, bend and climb steps. 3.
Requires physical ability to drive. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Valid Class C driver’s license required, unless driving a vehicle with a capacity of 8 or more, then a Class “D” or CDL license will be required when applicable and be an insurable driver with our insurance company. 2.
Reliable personal vehicle and proof of state minimum insurance coverage. 3. Available for and willingness to work flex hours. 4.
Possess current DOT physical card as determined by current laws/regulations. 5. Valid forklift operator license. 6.
Ability to keep accurate pick and delivery records. 7. Ability to read and write and to carry out oral and written direction. 8.
Ability to operate vehicles with GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds. 9. Knowledge and ability to maintain routine maintenance checks and service requirements of vehicle. 10.
Ability to operate forklift and provide maintenance and service as needed. 11. Up-to-date physical. 12.
