BEST Cartage is seeking a Driver Manager to join our thriving Operations team in Kernersville, NC! Our Driver Managers provide top-notch leadership to a team of drivers in a fast- paced environment. In this role, you will act as a key link between the business, our drivers, and our customers. In this critical role, you will be accountable for fielding calls and inquiries from drivers and working one-on-one to solve problems with creative solutions that exceed customer expectations and our company objectives.
This will be a day shift position (10am to 7pm, Mon-Fri), with some night/weekend availability required as needed.
Position Overview

• Make safety-conscious decisions while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
• Balance the needs of our customers, our drivers, and the business resulting in a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide ongoing direction and leadership to drivers and internal associates to ensure excellent customer service, key factor achievement and associate development
• Collaborate with others in the organization to identify and implement solutions to improve retention
• Manage driver payroll, and ensure drivers have quality work/life balance; the Driver Manager makes all the difference in the day-to-day work experience for our drivers!

• Ideally, have transportation, supply chain or logistics experience, or experience in a similar industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
