EDI Software Services Specialist
Job description
VIP is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Software Support team to work with our customers and their trading partners to set up and use EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for the exchange of purchase orders, advance ship notices, invoices, pricing notification, payment remittances, and more. The successful EDI Software Support Specialist must enjoy working with others, be a fast learner, have excellent technical diagnostic skills, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who can handle multiple tasks and be committed to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new trading partner setup including creation, testing and validation.
- Support ongoing relationships with VIP customers and trading partners.
- Identify, analyze and resolve processing and configuration errors.
- Define software errors (bugs) for technical resolution.
- Maintain documentation of the EDI processes and procedures.
- Research software issues and system configuration options.
- Provide internal EDI support to other VIP departments.
Requirements:
- Computer science or related industry experience.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Ability to learn and become proficient with unfamiliar systems.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Skills or Education:
- Experience with EDI VANs and transaction sets.
- Familiarity with AS2, FTP, and HTTP(s) communication protocols.
- Knowledge of X12 &; XML file formats and specifications.
- Understanding of Cleo Harmony, Clarify, and/or Dashboard.
- Knowledge of the beverage distribution industry.
- College degree preferred but not required.
