Job description

The Worcester Youth Center helps prepare young people 14 - 24 to be successful in life through career and education activities, creative leadership opportunities and supporting healthy lifestyles. The Youth Center is open Monday - Friday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm Employees are expected to participate in some weekend activities throughout the year and in general activities.

Improves High School retention, prepares students for HiSET examination, and explores higher education opportunities. Responsible for program development, coordination and reporting. Recruits and performs educational assessments, provides classroom instruction and supervises volunteer tutors. Organizes college access programming. Proficiency in standardized test subject areas a must, especially math. Excellent written/verbal communication, time management skills, tech savvy, and ability to work efficiently within teams. Contributes to the mission and values of the organization.

Bachelors+ 2 years of experience or 3 years of teaching experience required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is 40 hrs per week and includes paid vacation and 80% health & dental insurance benefits.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
