Job description

The Position will:

• Protect and conserve company assets and resources, especially in regard to the physical maintenance of plant, property and equipment.
• Participate in all quality, safety, productivity efforts of the department.
• Manage environmental refrigeration affairs and issues through effective guidance in a manner that maximizes corporate compliance and lowers corporate environmental liability or risk.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the operating plan.
• Assist operations in change overs and over all efficiencies in plant productivity.
• Monitor and record system information as necessary, report any abnormal conditions, and ensure proper communication across shifts.
• Develop/assign preventative maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on all associated equipment as assigned by supervisor. Identify damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner.

• Direct/Perform proper Lock-out/Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication assignments from mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Diagnose, analyze, investigate, and correct basic causes of malfunction of production and plant equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting, and electrical equipment. Work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and verbal instructions.
• Instruct safe use of test equipment such as ohmmeters, volt meters, amp meters, power factor meters, power tools, electrician hand tools.
• Train employees on equipment and control system function.
• Keep work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
• Establish short and long-term plans and goals for the operation.
• Develop and improve production processes, contribute to the company’s savings initiatives.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
