Pacific Coast Producers, one of the nation’s top food production companies, is seeking to fill a Journeyman Industrial Electrician position with a highly capable individual. The position is based in a fast-pace, high volume production facility in Woodland, CA.

Pacific Coast Producers or "PCP" is an agricultural cooperative, and a food production company owned by California growers. We make healthy and flavorful products for families around the world to enjoy. Our Woodland facility maintains production lines for canning various tomato products for customer delivery and satisfaction. Each PCP facility utilizes complex technology and equipment that require skilled, talented, and motivated personnel to function properly. The successful applicant will work to design, install, maintain, adjust, and repair the facility’s electrical equipment and mechanisms – ensuring food production equipment operates as required.

These positions are part of a seniority based collective bargaining unit and require work on various shifts with potential for a great deal of overtime during the processing season. To be considered for this position, applicants must have demonstrated experience in:

  • Performing maintenance, wiring, installation of motors, switches, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, testing and power circuits.
  • Install, connect, adjust and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
  • Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specs and codes.
  • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, or test lamps.
  • Possess demonstrable skills for specifying and properly sizing of wire, conduit, circuit breakers and fuses per NEC and other applicable codes.
  • Read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components.
  • Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

  • Satisfactorily completed a related educational degree, certificate, or program; and/or
  • Comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area; and
  • A fundamental aptitude, which may be assessed by a practical exam.
  • Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
  • AutoCAD experience for creating electrical drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Experienced, with demonstrated history relevant to the food production industry.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Holds applicable licensing and certificates.
  • Tolerant of unique, perhaps demanding, industrial working conditions.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate protective equipment.

Pay Rate: $35.42 per hour. Full time/ 40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed.
