Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Works as an effective team member to perform tasks such as intermediate electro-mechanical assembly. Assembles and solders simple sub-assemblies and circuit boards utilizing manufacturing procedures and blueprints under intermediate guidance.

• 
  Performs intermediate electro-mechanical assembly following manufacturing procedures and blueprints.
• Performs intermediate through-hole soldering, sub-assembly and unit assembly and ensures that quality standards are met.
• Completes work order documentation for completed assemblies.
• Cross trains and maintains certification across all operations within sub-assembly work area.
• Trains others in basic operations where certification is maintained.
• Works effectively with other team members to ensure that quality and delivery expectations are met.
• Follows policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Proficient in basic math
• Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
• Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
• Ability to visually and mentally concentrate for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance; sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Proven ability to use power and hand tools.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization
• Ability to work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
• Ability to proficiently solder components.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
