Job Description: Embroidery Supervisor

Outerspace delivers high-touch operations for high-growth brands. We do warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, product photography, and more. This is not an old school warehouse operation that has been doing things the same way for 30 years. We come from the brand side and have built and led operations for companies like Steve Madden, Prada and Nice Laundry.

The primary responsibilities of the Embroidery Supervisor at Outerspace is to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Leads to assist the team in attaining overall department goals. They lead by example and assist the department by effectively planning and organizing work flow; promoting teamwork, training, problem solving and decision making.

They are collaborative, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and are detail oriented. A successful candidate will have the ability to make an impact by motivating and leading the team to meet goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the bridge between upper management and staff
• Foster a positive work environment and work culture
• Address any concerns over quality or job set-up to Director of Light Manufacturing
• Set and follow production schedules - maintains and performs routine service on any equipment used in the completion of embroidery tasks
• Ensure safety policies are being followed
• Read and understand the work order for the requested job
• Pick the appropriate thread (type and color) based on the instructions
• Own all aspects of embroidery and quality control of the jobs assigned
• Setting up job
• Monitor the embroidery process to detect any potential defects and notify the Director of Light Manufacturing of malfunctions
• Be ready to replace any position in case of absences or needs
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• At least High School or GED equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience at management level in the Embroidery field
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
• Proactive with problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with ability to prioritize and multitask
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suites
