Job purpose

  • The operator will set up, program and operate machines used during the inspection of OCTG.
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to

50 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Demonstrates good leadership characteristics, and the ability to lead small groups to complete appropriate inspections or special projects assigned by management with little or no supervision.
  • Complete accurate, detailed, and quality inspection / production reports daily.
  • Assist in the training and progression of coworkers as needed.
  • Must not attempt to operate machinery, vehicle or equipment without proper training and / or competency verification.
  • Responsible for keeping work areas and equipment in good, clean, working order, including maintenance, calibrations, and ample spare parts / supplies.
  • Protect yourself and others at all times by ensuring that everyone is wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Ensure all company policies surrounding health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with OCTG, or related NDT field
  • Read and write in English or Spanish
  • Must be in good physical condition able to work outdoors, for extended hours on his/her feet, and able to lift 50 lbs
  • Employee must be punctual, dependable, good attitude, and dedicated to Safety
  • Must meet the minimum requirements set forth in PRI’s written practice, NDE Personnel Qualifications for MP/UT &

VT. Evidence that those requirements are met will be required

  • Must pass vision examinations as specified in PRI’s written practice, NDE Personnel Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma preferred
