The Encompass Administrator assumes primary responsibility for the oversight and management of the Ellie Mae Encompass mortgage loan origination system and its related applications and services. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role serves as the Company's system administrator for configuring and executing application changes in Encompass, provides technical support and software coaching to existing team members, and assists in onboarding and training new team members on our loan origination systems and applications. Additionally, this individual will maintain up-to-date knowledge of current application releases and functionality to coordinate and oversee the implementation of software changes, installations, and upgrades. The ideal candidate for this role will possess demonstrated expertise in the administration of Ellie Mae Encompass and be particularly skilled in proactively identifying opportunities for improving the Company's overall use of the product. Further, the candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills, along with thorough knowledge of the mortgage industry and the mortgage loan origination process.
Primary Functions:
- Act as the system administrator/super user for configuring and executing application changes in Ellie Mae Encompass
- Remain abreast of current application releases, functionality, and other components and assist with various application-related management tasks
- Assist with coordinating/implementing changes, software installations, and upgrades with other groups within the IT department and appropriate management personnel
- Provide technical support, software coaching, and employee assistance for all proprietary applications and 3rd party software within the Company's application portfolio
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members on new or pre-existing applications and support methods
- Help to develop application test plans and perform quality assurance testing on new application releases and bug fixes
- Assist with day-to-day system support including password/account settings, system errors, and troubleshooting
- Create, test, and implement templates for new loan products as directed by the VP & CTO
- Identify opportunities to provide system training to existing team members
- Maintain company user accounts, prepare user setups, personas, and views
- Communicate and research system changes, providing recommendations to the Executive Team as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry and the loan origination life cycle
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with current office technology including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, computers, desk/cell phones, fax machines, etc.
- Expert organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of mortgage industry experience required
- 3+ years of Ellie Mae Encompass administration experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing complex solutions utilizing Encompass and its related applications and services
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional travel to Company's headquarters may be required (less than 25% of the time)
