JOB SUMMARY: A seasonal team member position with the responsibility of keeping the illusion of The North Pole and Santa Claus while portraying a Christmas elf.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

• Ensure that guests abide by all policies and procedures while at the park.
• Provide information to guests before they enter The North Pole.
• Keep kids/guests entertained in the queue.
• Crowd control.
• Wear elf costume, latex ears, make-up, and accessories provided by SFOG.
• Complete paperwork daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Height 5’3” or shorter
• Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
• Be available to work flexible hours during the day, nights, and weekends.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Creative and quick to use imagination.
• React well in stressful and emergency situations.
• Possess above average communication skills.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
• Be willing to actively engage guests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Continued standing, and bending; frequent kneeling.
• Eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
• Stand/walk for up to 5 hours at a time and as many as 10 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
• Lift and carry 10 lbs. over various surfaces.
