LKB is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, based in Syosset, NY, that provides services to municipal and private clients in the tri-state region since 1889. The firm provides comprehensive services in civil, structural, traffic, landscape architecture, environmental, mechanical and electrical engineering as well as construction services on projects involving transportation infrastructure, structures, utilities, electric power distribution, site development, general public works, and construction inspection and administration.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks associated with mechanical engineering, fire protection and HVAC system design projects in the Long Island and NYC area. The position will be based out of the LKB Syosset office, however LKB offers a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and field measurements of existing field conditions
• Preparing commercial heating and cooling load calculations using energy modeling software
• Hydronic, domestic water, DWV, and Fuel Gas system layout and sizing
• Ductwork sizing and layout

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience using AutoCAD and Revit MEP is a plus
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
