MaineHealth is currently seeking candidates to join our Environmental Services Team at Memorial Hospital! We have a full time and part time Housekeeper positions, as well as an Environmental Services Lead for full time evenings. Position Summaries:
The Environmental Service Technician (“Housekeeper”) performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas. He or she will work closely with departmental leaders and teammates to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety are achieved in every area. The Environmental Service Technician (“Housekeeper”) will demonstrate a positive attitude and the willingness to provide exceptional customer service, and all interactions with staff, patients or residents and visitors will be carried out with due regard for respect and confidentiality. Work for this role can take place in a variety of difficult and demanding settings, which may include precaution rooms for patients with highly communicable illnesses. Schedules vary but are Monday- Friday either 2:00 – 10:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. with some flexibility for certain roles.

The Environmental Services (EVS) Lead, under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, takes responsibility for prioritizing the housekeeping needs of the facility during the evening shift. Reassigns staff duties, if warranted, to assure the facilities “priority” housekeeping needs are met. Schedule includes Monday- Friday and shifts can be either 1:00 – 9:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m..

Qualifications:

Housekeeper

• High School Diploma or GED are preferred.
• 1-3 months related experience preferred but not required.

EVS Lead

• High School Diploma or GED are preferred.
• Housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
