Your Opportunity: Taylor Print Impressions (formerly Curtis 1000, Inc.), a division of Taylor Corporation, located in Byron, MN is looking for an Equipment Operator in our Finishing/Bindery Department! The incumbent will be responsible for performing all finishing tasks involved in the production of our products. This is an entry-level position with great opportunity for growth within the company!

Your Responsibilities:

• Cut to size, fold, stitch, punch, coil, glue or otherwise finish the product according to job ticket instructions
• Complete tasks, as directed by production schedules, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
• Pack finished product into correct packages and boxes, along with attach appropriate labels and tags to product or boxes
• Examine finished product for quality assurance; report defective materials or questionable quality issues to Supervisor or Team Lead
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines, as required, to reduce problems, maintain quality, and minimize costly repairs and downtime
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
• Follow standard work methods and prescribed safety practices to ensure production is as efficient and safe, as possible

Your Shift:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
• 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7am

You Must Have:

• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to resolve technical issue and/or provide recommendations Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and other forms of simple mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and job tickets, along with follow directions
• Ability to use basic hand held tools including rubber straps, plastic bags, plastic packaging clamshells, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of products
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well independently and with a team

We Would Also Prefer:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or work-related experience
• Knowledge of common printing practices and/or equipment
