The estimated pay scale for this position is approximately $25 to $30 per hour as of the posting date. The final remuneration will be determined based on several factors, such as the work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Job Duties
- Repair and Maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication, among others.
- Complete preventive maintenance procedures, documentation, and routines.
- Use electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical circuit issues.
- Create work orders in the asset management system and record accurate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Solve semi-complex problems and understand the resources required to fix them.
- Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
- Conduct routine equipment testing and maintenance to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Respond to service calls and address equipment failures and faults.
- Identify issues as they arise and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization.
Job Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically, an associate degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment is preferred.
Proven track record of success in the area of responsibility and in carrying out the job duties mentioned above.
Able to lift and move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Frequently bend, lift, stretch, and reach both above the head and below the waist.
Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products weighing up to 100 pounds.
Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitations.
Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.
Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
Some positions in the U.S. may require vaccination against COVID-19. Where legally permitted or required, offers for such roles are contingent on the candidate providing proof of full vaccination against Covid 19 (currently one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine). Candidates with medical issues or religious beliefs or practices that prevent them from getting the vaccine may request an exemption from the vaccine requirement.
