Summary
Work with Plant management and Sales Team to estimate job costs, prepare quotations, and program CNC Lathes and Milling Centers.

What you'll do
- Estimate Job Costs using customer bid specifications, detail drawings, historical data, and other information to prepare accurate job cost analysis including:
- Determine work scope, tools, and equipment requirements
- Raw Material costs
- Freight costs
- Outside Service and Sub-contractor costs
- Machine cycle time
- Fabrication man-hours
- Inspection man-hours
- Assembly man-hours
- Prepare and send quote documents to customer
- Enter quote data into business system for tracking purposes
- Enter router information into business system
- Open orders/jobs
- Program CNC machines to optimize productivity and quality
- Monitor performance of machine programs and evaluate for opportunities to improve processes
- Track job performance and monitor for deviations from quoted times and costs
What you'll need
- Experience as a CNC Lathe and/or Milling Center Machinist
- Proficient in Gibbs CAM or comparable system
- Proficient in reading and interpreting detail drawings, technical specifications, and production orders
- Experience working with DIN Spec Standards is a plus
- Good computer skills and proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Good organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Creativity and problem solving abilities
- Flexibility to respond to a fast pace environment with frequent changes in priorities
Physical Demands
- Primarily indoor environment
- Occasional standing / walking / sitting.
- Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Occasional fumes/airborne particles.
