IGS is currently recruiting for a remote ETL Engineer to support our work with our customers.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access customer’s systems and therein use approved customer’s provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

The ETL Engineer will be responsible for the design, management, and support of the mission-critical enterprise ETL functions for the customer.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Supports, tests, designs, develops, and implements data models, to ETL from a myriad of data sources into relational DBs designed to support analytic endeavors
  • Support the on-prem (and potentially cloud) based infrastructure the platform runs on, and test and implement new versions as they become available
  • Assist users with applications including data sources and infrastructure, including hosting Q & A sessions and delivering training sessions
  • Provide technical support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data in a BI environment
  • Document procedures as needed
  • Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable; an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered
  • Three plus years of experience supporting an enterprise-scale reporting system
  • Experience and use of SQL Server
  • Demonstrated ability with ETL tools
  • Experience with MDX
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Assisting customers/users in a technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Programming/scripting experience is preferred
  • Must be a self-motivator with the ability to work remotely as part of a team, or independently with little supervision or direction
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • Active Public Trust
  • Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Programming/scripting experience is preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory, Kerberos authentication
  • Demonstrated ability with ETL tools
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team
