Summit Medical Center is looking for EVS Technicians or Housekeepers to join our Quality Care Teams in Edmond or NW Oklahoma City. These positions work Monday to Friday. We have day and evening positions available. No holidays or Weekends!!

EVS Technician Position Summary:

The EVS Technician performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas of the hospital.

EVS Technician Responsibilities:

1. Performs cleaning tasks as described in the task list. Must always follow the 7 step cleaning method

2. Sweeps, cleans, mops, scrubs disinfects, and dust floors

3. Cleans toilets, basins, showers, bathtubs, patient beds, walls, cleans furniture, fixture doors and related furnishings by using approved cleaning supplies. The EVS Technician operates and maintains equipment, cart, industrial vacuums

4. Cleans patient rooms, beds, waiting areas, examination tables and prepares for new occupant

5. Ensure that proper procedures are used when cleaning isolation rooms and PPE equipment is being used

6. Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers. Transports trash and refuse, removes empty boxes

7. Maintains adequate stock of supplies in assigned janitor’s closet

EVS Technician Physical/Mental Requirements for Position:

1. Ability to read and write (legibly)

2. Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively

3. Ability to document information accurately

4. Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals

5. Ability to understand and resolve simple problems

6. Ability to understand simple instructions

7. Requires physical and mental stamina. Ability to constantly walk, stand up to eight hours

8. Ability to frequently utilize full range of motion, including crouching, stooping, reaching, bending and twisting

9. Ability to frequently lift, pull, push up to 50lbs

10. Ability to see and hear and distinguish color

11. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

12. Ability to function independently without constant supervision

13 Exposed to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals; Works in precarious or high locations (ladders, scaffolding etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour
