Exercise Physiologist position open at the Wadena campus. In this role, you will design and carefully monitor exercise, nutritional, and lifestyle change programs and perform various pulmonary and cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
This position is 48 hours per biweekly pay period, working 3 varying days per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No nights, weekends, or holidays, but may be asked to work early morning or evening hours, based on patient needs. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Completes comprehensive assessment for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary patients
- Develops individualized exercise program for aerobic and resistance training based on provider exercise prescription
- Assists in cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation programs with exercise, testing, and education to the patient
- Performs pulmonary function, holter monitor, and cardiac event monitor testing to carry out physician orders
- Assists with cardiac stress testing
- Provides progressive updates and modifications to the exercise prescription and informs provider of modifications to the plan of care
- Completes documentation requirements as required by facility, CMS, and standards of practice
- Provides patient education

Education and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Exercise Science
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above
Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
